Genital Warts
Genital warts are a sexually transmitted disease (STD) caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV). Genital warts affect the moist tissues of the genital area. They can look like small, flesh-colored bumps or have a cauliflower-like appearance.
Warts Electrocautery
This is a recommend treatment option for warts that present as refractory, thick, and extensive lesions. Unlike some other treatments, this therapy requires local anesthesia and can sometimes be accompanied by side-effects such as pruritus surrounding the wound.
Why do Warts come back?
f you have attempted to treat your warts, but they continue to come back, the treatment has failed to kill the virus. The wart was removed, but the virus is still present. Your immune system may not be strong enough to fight off the virus.
How long is the down time ?
Healing usually takes place within two to four weeks. It may take longer if a large area of tissue has been treated.
Is treatment permanent ?
Many types of warts can be treated at home and other warts require a doctor’s care. The viruses that cause warts cannot be cured, but warts can often be successfully removed and your immune system can work to get rid of the infection.
